Permanent witness

Everything is impermanent
But myself.

If I were impermanent I could not realize that other things are impermanent, as I would only exist in an instant, in which everything would be permanent, in fact, eternal, as time would not exist for me.

Therefore, I am not impermanent.
But, am I permanent?

"Impermanent" doesn't mean "existing only for an instant." It means "not permanent."

And indeed you are ever-changing: even your physical body is not the same from one moment to the next as skin cells shed and blood cells die and all are replaced by new ones. You are impermanent, and that in part is where there is no "I/self."

-(what self? where is this self out...please show me)-

If I were impermanent I could not realize

-(The "I" realizes?)-

that other things
-(what are things?)-

are impermanent, as I would only exist in an instant

-(how do you measure an instant?)-

,in which everything would be permanent, in fact, eternal

-(eternally what?)-

,as time would not exist for me.

-(what about the "me"?)-

Therefore, I am not impermanent.
But, am I permanent?

-(you are absolutely correct)-

the self is nowhere

-(The "I" realizes?)-
yes it does. in fact it only is when it does.
I is the realization. awareness.

-(what are things?)-
everything but awareness of them. wich is I.

-(how do you measure an instant?)-
I don't. I can't.
an instant has no measure.

-(eternally what?)-
eternally be

-(what about the "me"?)-
what about it?

-(you are absolutely correct)-
thanks. am I? Does I exist?
